What we quote is what we charge and includes?

• Free point & chisel included in hire.
• Damage Waiver – reasonable conditions apply.

What the hire rate doesn’t include?

• Late Fees – we allow 1/2 hour grace before excess charges apply.
• Speeding Tickets – we know you’ll be excited to get started but don’t break the road rules.
• Safety Equipment – we have gloves, hearing and eye protection for sale if you require.

What are the damage waiver conditions??

Here’s the small print:

7.1 The Fee includes a damage waiver premium unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7.2 If the Fee does include the damage waiver premium, Better Rentals will waive the cost of repairs or replacement of the Hire Equipment only in respect of accidental damage on payment by the Customer of $550 inclusive of GST or 10% of the repair or replacement costs, whichever is greater.

7.3 Damage Waiver is never available for damage or loss due to water damage.

8.1 If the Fee includes the damage waiver premium and the Hire Equipment is stolen from the Customer during the Hire Period and the theft occurred by forced entry to the Customer’s premises, then if a police report is provided to Better Rentals within 24 hours of the theft and the police report states that the theft occurred by forced entry, Better Rentals will waive the cost of replacement of the Hire Equipment on payment by the Customer of $550 inclusive of GST or 10% of the replacement cost, whichever is greater.

8.2 For the avoidance of doubt, the Customer will be liable for the full replacement cost of the Hire Equipment if the Hire Equipment is stolen and clause 8.1 is not complied with.

What does this mean?
What do I have to pay if it is covered?
Minimum: – $550.00 of any damage or loss covered.
Maximum: – 10% of the repair or replacement cost.

What’s not covered?
Mysterious disappearance and loss. If there’s no police report and no evidence of forced entry full replacement will be charged. Keep it locked up.
Scaffolds and Tarpaulins are never covered.
Tipping due to use on excessive slopes – see each item for further details.
Water damage of any kind: Flood, tipping in water, falling off a barge, left it in the rain. Anything.

What do I have to pay if it is not covered?
Full replacement cost of the equipment in the case of loss or theft. Full repair cost in the case of damage.

What we need when you pick up the equipment – or we deliver it?

Identification A drivers licence for identification so we know who we’re letting take away our equipment. Don’t have a Driver's License? Bring along a friend who does and we’ll hire to them.

Deposit and Payment CASH: If the daily hire rate is below $150.00 inc gst we’re happy to accept a cash deposit of the hire charge plus one day.
VISA, MASTERCARD: The hire charge (minimum 1 day) and we hold the numbers as a deposit. Sorry, no Amex or Diners.
EFTPOS CARD: The hire charge (minimum 1 day) PLUS one extra day’s hire charge as a deposit.
CHEQUES: Sorry. Please don’t take it personally, but we don’t accept cheques.

What is a weekend?

Saturday morning through to Monday morning.
If the machine is available Friday after 4.00 we’re happy for you to pick it up earlier.
We open at 6.00 Monday so you can return – but so long as it’s returned by 7.00 the weekend rate will apply.
